Okay, I have to admit… This was one of the most fun shoots I’ve ever done. I have to credit Andee Tate of Crave Photography for her vintage-inspired shoot ideas, as well as Sammy Spencer for Alyssa’s hair and makeup, and Brent Brooks, Tom Tompkins and Cheryl Pierce for hooking me up with a classic 1940s car! The basic narrative of the shoot is a couple in a long distance relationship, getting together on a weekend and going on a picnic date at the park. Special kudos to my favorite vintage store, Junkees, for all of my props.

The transition period between winter and spring here in Reno is always a tough time for location photographers. You never know until the day of the shoot whether or not you will be needing a thick coat and snow boots, a raincoat, or shorts and flip flops. Brandon and Caitlin were nice enough to work with Mother Nature’s crazy schedule, even though she did give us a nice dumping of snow just a few days before their engagement session. I love the “Twilight” feel to the shots, mostly because I am in love with the Twilight series 
Lake Tahoe was also gorgeous this time of year, with the snowcapped mountains making for a great backdrop for pictures.

I am super excited that Dave and Lacey asked me to be their wedding photographer. They are the cutest couple ever!!! I mean, seriously, I had a hard time narrowing down their “teasers” to just a few, because it was difficult to take a bad photo of them. Looking forward to photographing their wedding this summer!!! :-)

Here are a couple teasers for now. I have a backlog of photos to edit, because I had to take time off to be with my grandma last week… It was so much fun to photograph Christi and Ty. They are such a young and vibrant couple, and their engagement story is so sweet. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this summer!!!
